Father's Day Printable Coloring Card

My husband's birthday is coming and Father's Day is also coming.

My son and I are busy thinking what to make for him.

We had decided how to make a birthday card for him. We will make it when there is time.

For the Father's Day, I want to design a card or do some craft that is special.

It is quite boring just making shirt and tie card or crafts every year.

This morning, I know what I should do. : )

I draw a card by myself!

I try to draw the face of my husband.

He wears glasses, with dimples, small eyes, thin hair....

That looks like him, haha!

I think daddies would like to receive something that is especially for him, rather just shirt and tie.

Below is my card. I will let my son do the coloring.

If your daddy looks like my husband, you are welcome to print the card for use! : )

Not sure my husband will like that or not!

You can click on the picture, right click the mouse button and choose print picture.

Paper Crafts - Own Design Mini Doll Room

When I found this paper craft kit, I like it so much.

Because the kit allows the kids to build a small room and furnitures with white cardboard and decorate it by themselves.

I bought it to my son without much considerations.

Recently, we spent a few days to make it.

Kids Jokes - Father's Day jokes

I like reading jokes, especially kids jokes.

I myself have another blog since my son was 3 years old. (Now he is 7 years old)

In the blog, I kept a lot of his jokes.

As that blog is not in English, I have to translate them for sharing with you.

Now let me share some funny Father's Day jokes from http://www.jokes4us.com/with you first.

Paper crafts - DIY Kitchen Tissue flower card

In the last Mother's Day, I made a special card for my mom.

We usually have a great dinner to celebrate Mother's Day with my parents.

But this year, I decided to make a special card.

Because my son had done some experiments about ink colors. I found that his works are quite beautiful. Throwing them away are just wasteful. Thus, I turn them into a special card.

I like it so much! How do you think?

The steps to make this are as follows:

Kids Party Food - strange shape boiled egg

On my son's birthday, I planned to give him a surprise in his lunch box.

I thought and thought. And finally, I decided to make a strange shape boiled egg.

At first, I boiled the eggs as usual. But this time, the egg yorks must be well cooked.

I peeled off the shell.

When the eggs were still hot, I put them into cookie molds.

Mother's Day Gift from my son 2013

In the past years, my son seldom made a gift for Mother's Day himself.

Most of the gifts were made at school, taught by teacher.

I think this is because boys have less gift ideas than girls.

But this year, I feel so happy that he made something for Mother's Day by himself.

A few days before Mother's Day, he said that he wanted to make something for me and asked me to let him alone for some time.

After some time, he gave me a flower picture.

He punched a hole on top and used a rubber band to hang it.

Though the leaves he drew look like horns, I like it so much.

Now it is hanging on the fridge. : )

Besides that, he also sent an email with an attached file to me.

That is a picture he drew in the computer studies lesson at school.

The teacher taught them how to attach files and send them to their mommies.

That is meaningful!

It is funny!

Paper crafts - scratch paper birthday card to my son

My son's birthday has just passed.

Time flies. He is seven years old now.

This year, my son said that he wanted to receive a birthday card from us.

Oh! That was a great idea. I had never sent him a birthday card though there were birthday gifts and cakes for him every year.

So I tried to think what birthday card should I give to my son.

I never thought of buying one from shop though they might be more beautiful.

I wanted to make one solely for him.

Finally, I decided to use scratch paper to make a special card for him.

I found a cake picture in computer from free coloring pages.

I used wooden pen to draw it on the scratch paper.

Then I sticked it to a bright yellow card.

When he first saw the card, he opened his eyes wide and said that is so beautiful.

I love you my son, I will keep this card properly.

And in the coming years, I will make cards for you, too.

The Rubber Duck

A 54-foot-tall rubber duck made by Dutch conceptual artist Florentijn Hofman made its debut in Hong Kong's Victoria Harbor on last Thursday.

It is so big and lovely! I like it so much!

The duck was inflating.

It is about 6-story high.

Has the duck visited your country?

The police boat looks small in front of the duck : )

Kids Activity - DIY playground

Recently, we went to a DIY playground held by an organization with Disneyland.

The games here are quite different from ordinary playground.

My son had a lot of fun here.

The entrance made with carton boxes. It is so beautiful!

Paper Crafts - Slippers / Flip Flop

This project is done by my son.

This is a Math homework, but not the Visual Arts homework.

Because they are learning shapes.

The slippers are made of cardboard (for the bottom), and color papers for the other parts.

I think this crafts is quite good for kids.

But if we can find some slippers that can be designed by kids and more durable, it is much better!

The one at the bottom is a cat and the one on top is a dog. ^^

They are so lovely!
